Job Summary

WoodGreen is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator, Community Connections to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position that will play a key role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a high-quality, outcome-focused Community Connections program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement all activities and meet qualitative and quantitative outcomes per the annual work plan developed with management.
  • Work with the Community Connections team to determine mentorship needs, encourage mentorship opportunities, and coordinate mentor retention strategies.
  • Ensure service is provided to newcomer clients in person and through e-services, and that all program goals, statistics, and outcomes are met.
  • Assist with outreach to the business community, professional associations, and other places to attract potential mentors.
  • Receive and review mentee applications, conduct in-depth interviews to determine current situation, goals, and potential benefits from mentoring.
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with mentors to determine key strengths that are of potential benefit to mentees.
  • Develop and implement a process for matching mentees with mentors, including protocols and policies, leading to successful mentorship relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Work, Adult Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum two years' experience and a proven track record in supporting newcomers to achieve goals in counselling, employment, or related environments.
  • Experience in career coaching is a fundamental aspect of the role.
