Project Estimation Expert for BC Region Office

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Estimation Expert to join our team in the Richmond, British Columbia office. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in estimating project costs and developing detailed analysis of contract documents.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough reviews of contract documents, including isometric, as-built, and engineering drawings, to determine overall project requirements.
- Establish complex schedules and timelines to meet contract completion dates for large projects.
- Lead pricing efforts for medium to large projects, including lump sum and construction management.
- Document all estimate information and archive it for transfer to the project team upon successful award.
- Perform risk and opportunity analysis for review by chief estimator.
- Liaise with external consultants and project management organizations to estimate project budget requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent trade experience.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, planning, scheduling, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines.
- Expertise in bid preparation, including quantity take-off procedures, trade contractor procurement, pricing, and bid closing procedures.
- Strong understanding of contract terms for various delivery models and ability to identify contract risks and opportunities.
- Familiarity with different bid processes and contract delivery type methods, including hard bid/lump sum, guaranteed maximum price (GMP), unit price, design-build, target prices, and construction management/cost reimbursable.
