About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Sunhouse Cafe. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
