Financial Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Support Specialist. Located in Saint John, NB, this role is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with financial figures and supporting a community organization.
Job DescriptionThis position involves managing the organization's finances, ensuring compliance with CRA regulations, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director, office manager, and part-time bookkeeper to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate will have a background in banking, charitable bookkeeping, and tax preparation, with formal accounting certification being a plus. However, we are willing to train the right person on the job. If you are a quick learner and enjoy staying up-to-date with changing financial rules and regulations, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the organization's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and requirements.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and other staff members to achieve organizational goals.
