Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director for our Cardiology Department at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of pediatric cardiology care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care, conduct medical research, and educate students and staff. You will also be involved in strategic planning, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes
  • Contribute to clinical guideline development and implementation
  • Participate in medical research and education initiatives
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve patient flow and experience
Requirements
  • MD or equivalent degree in medicine or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in pediatric cardiology, with senior leadership experience preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical management, research, and education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
