Medical Supply Transport Specialist

Job SummaryThe Medical Supply Transport Specialist is responsible for transporting medical supplies, equipment, and devices throughout the hospital. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Transport medical supplies, equipment, and devices to various departments and locations within the hospital
- Operate and maintain medical equipment, including flusher disinfectors and Arjo Tornado machines
- Perform daily inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels of medical supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with Environmental Services and Sterile Processing Department personnel to ensure timely availability of medical supplies
- Report any malfunctions or issues with equipment to the Director of Projects & Biomedical Engineering
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Two years of recent related hospital medical/surgical supply experience
- Medical Device Reprocessing (MDRD) or Sterile College certification required
- Knowledge of medical supplies, high-level disinfection equipment, and infection prevention and control standards
- Ability to lift 25-30 pounds repeatedly and stand for long periods
- Effective customer service skills and excellent attendance record
