We are looking for a Financial Analyst Co-op Student who shares our vision and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our residents. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, develop new skills, and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Accounting Team and Budget Office Team in financial management services.
  • Develop and analyze budgets, conduct financial forecasts, and assist with new financial system implementation.
  • Collaborate with City Departments to understand budgetary needs, provide financial insights, and foster collaboration in the budget planning process.
  • Participate in cost-benefit analysis for proposed projects, programs, and initiatives to evaluate their financial viability and potential impact on the City's budget.

Requirements:

  • CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN AN UNDERGRADUATE OR GRADUATE PROGRAM IN FINANCE, ACCOUNTING, PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, OR A RELATED FIELD.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis techniques and tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with an ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
