About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at KS Concrete Cutting & Coring Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and constructing building structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a construction environment with potential exposure to confined spaces, noise, and dust.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to work 30 hours per week
