About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at ESSKAY HOMES INC. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites to meet deadlines
  • Supervise and mentor junior carpenters to ensure they meet our high standards
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to work in a noisy and outdoors environment
  • Reliability and strong teamwork skills
