Job Title: Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at ESSKAY HOMES INC. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Supervise other workers
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Reliability and team player
  • Ability to work in a noisy and outdoors environment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials
