Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to support the preparation of semi-monthly payroll for processing for approx. 500+ employees. The successful candidate will verify and update time and attendance records submitted by Managers, prepare Records of Employment, and respond to employees' inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of semi-monthly payroll for processing
  • Verify and update time and attendance records submitted by Managers
  • Prepare Records of Employment
  • Respond to employees' inquiries
  • Assist with new hires and the termination process
  • Maintain payroll filing on a pay period basis
  • Process salary changes, retroactive pay, bonus and commissions
  • Update and validate payroll data

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of progressive payroll and benefits experience
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certified with the Canadian Payroll Association or working towards it
  • Post-secondary education in accounting and/or finance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

What We Offer

We are proud to offer a competitive salary for this role in the range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year. The actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.
