Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to support the preparation of semi-monthly payroll for processing for approx. 500+ employees. The successful candidate will verify and update time and attendance records submitted by Managers, prepare Records of Employment, and respond to employees' inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of semi-monthly payroll for processing for approx. 500+ employees
- Verify and update time and attendance records submitted by Managers
- Prepare Records of Employment
- Respond to employees' inquiries
- Assist with new hires and the termination process
- Maintain payroll filing on a pay period basis
- Process salary changes, retroactive pay, bonus and commissions
- Update and validate payroll data
- Assist the payroll team with other related tasks
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of progressive payroll and benefits experience
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certified with the Canadian Payroll Association or working towards it
- Post-secondary education in accounting and/or finance
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to think independently
What We Offer
- Competitive salary in the range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year
