We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our team at OEB Breakfast CO North Vancouver. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for supervising activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers, as well as demonstrating new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff
  • Assist the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of menu items
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Leading/instructing individuals

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong background in culinary arts
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
