About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Distribution Planning Specialist to join our team at BC Hydro. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed electrical distribution plans and models to support our grid operations and expansion projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize electrical distribution system upgrades and improvements.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data to inform planning decisions and optimize system performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • 5 years or more of experience in electrical distribution planning or a related field.
