About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Distribution Planning Engineer to join our team at BC Hydro. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain electrical distribution plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct technical studies to identify and mitigate potential risks to the electrical distribution system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of planning activities.
  • Provide technical expertise to support the development of business cases and project proposals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and apply knowledge to improve planning processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years or more of experience in electrical distribution planning or a related field.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
Work Environment

This is a hybrid work arrangement with a mix of remote and in-office work.
