Job Opportunity

Alamos Gold Inc. is currently recruiting for an Underground Development Miner (Scissor deck Bolter) to join our operations team at Young-Davidson, a low-cost, long-life gold mine in Ontario, Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently installing ground support, loading development rounds, and preparing development faces for the Jumbo man.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install ground support as per company standard;
  • Install and maintain services;
  • Load development rounds;
  • Prepare development faces for Jumbo man;
  • Meet daily productive goals required for the job;
  • Perform preoperational inspections on equipment and operate in an efficient and safe manner;
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3-5 years' underground experience;
  • Accreditation in U/G common core modules and specialty modules;
  • Strong Safety focus;
  • Self-motivated ability to work alone;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently;
  • Able to read mine plans/drawings;
  • Preferred candidate will possess previous experience as a bolter.
