Job Opportunity

Alamos Gold Inc. is currently recruiting a challenging position to join our operations team at Young-Davidson, a low-cost, long-life gold mine in Ontario, Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of remote scoop equipment, including LHD equipment, mucking underground ore/waste material, and loading haulage trucks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Safely operating LHD equipment;
  • Mucking underground ore/waste material;
  • Loading haulage trucks;
  • Meeting daily productive goals;
  • Performing preoperational inspections on equipment;
  • Operating in an efficient and safe manner;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3-5 years' underground experience;
  • Accreditation in U/G common core modules and specialty modules;
  • Strong safety focus;
  • Self-motivated ability to work alone;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Able to read mine plans/drawings;
  • Preferred candidate will possess previous experience operating remote scoop.
