Job Opportunity

Alamos Gold Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Underground Development Miner - MacLean Bolter to join our operations team at Young-Davidson, a low-cost, long-life underground gold mine in Ontario, Canada.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the mine crew in the installation of ground support using a MacLean bolter, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and mitigate potential hazards in underground headings
  • Install and repair services in underground headings
  • Operate mechanized bolting equipment to install ground support
  • Monitor and report work progress to the Mine Supervisor
  • Perform preoperational inspections on equipment and maintain a safe working environment
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Mine Supervisor

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Accreditation of basic common core and specialty common core
  • Ability to comprehend engineering prints and drawings
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong safety focus and commitment to a safe working environment
  • Minimum 7 years of underground mining experience, with 2 years of MacLean bolting experience
  • Preferred candidates will have proficiency in the installation of ground support with mechanized bolter
