Job Opportunity

Alamos Gold Inc. is seeking a skilled Underground Production Miner (Grader Operator) to join our operations team at Young-Davidson, a low-cost, long-life gold mine in Ontario, Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment, including graders, and will work closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the mine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scaling and conducting travel way inspections
  • Filling 5-point cards and maintaining accurate operating records
  • Operating graders in all roadways
  • Grading ramps and excavating ditches
  • Removing built-up material from benches and placing roadbeds
  • Assisting in maintaining safe travelways and working with the ramp crew to maintain sumps
  • Performing general operational maintenance on graders and other mobile equipment
  • Contributing to effective workplace relationships and providing information to cross-shift and supervisor
  • Providing support to users of underground roadways

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Accreditation of basic common core and specialty modules
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong safety focus and 3+ years of underground mining experience
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and graders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
