Hotel Manager Job Description

At Comfort Inn Belleville, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our hotel, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service and that our facilities are well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures: Create and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.
  • Supervise Staff: Supervise and manage a team of staff to ensure that they are performing their duties to the highest standard.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure that staff are meeting their targets and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Negotiate with Suppliers: Negotiate with suppliers to ensure that we are getting the best possible deals on materials and supplies.
  • Conduct Training Sessions: Conduct training sessions to ensure that staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to perform their duties effectively.
  • Negotiate with Clients: Negotiate with clients to ensure that we are meeting their needs and expectations.
  • Prepare Budgets and Monitor Revenues and Expenses: Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure that the hotel is operating within its means.
  • Prepare Marketing Plans: Prepare marketing plans to ensure that the hotel is promoting itself effectively.
  • Implement Marketing Activities: Implement marketing activities to ensure that the hotel is reaching its target audience.
  • Arrange for and Oversee Maintenance Activities: Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities to ensure that the hotel's facilities are well-maintained.
  • Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist Clients/Guests with Special Needs: Assist clients/guests with special needs to ensure that they have a positive experience at the hotel.
  • Develop and Implement Business Plans: Develop and implement business plans to ensure that the hotel is meeting its goals and objectives.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules to ensure that staff are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage Events: Manage events to ensure that they are running smoothly and that guests are having a positive experience.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that the hotel has the necessary supplies and materials.
  • Ensure Health and Safety Regulations are Followed: Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed to ensure the safety of staff and guests.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Fast-Paced Environment: The hotel operates in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Work Under Pressure: The hotel manager must be able to work under pressure and make decisions quickly and effectively.
  • Tight Deadlines: The hotel manager must be able to meet tight deadlines and ensure that tasks are completed on time.
  • Attention to Detail: The hotel manager must have attention to detail and be able to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Combination of Sitting, Standing, Walking: The hotel manager must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: The hotel manager must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Large Workload: The hotel manager must be able to handle a large workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Overtime Required: Overtime may be required to ensure that the hotel is operating smoothly and that guests are receiving exceptional service.
