Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the receiving, warehousing, and distribution functions to meet customer delivery requirements
  • Ensure sufficient equipment and personnel are available for the operation
  • Monitor and resolve issues that impact deliveries or warehouse operations
  • Lead and develop the shipping staff, including training, performance reviews, and recruiting
  • Manage inventory levels, stock movement, and production line clearance
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a shipping supervisory role in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience in operations leadership and the corrugated packaging sector
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including extended hours and on-call duties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and systems
