Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager to join our team at JSP Insurance & Financial Services Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering staff consultation and grievance procedures, assigning projects to subordinates, and coordinating the activities of the HR department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Assign projects to subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labour relations and employee relations
  • Coordinate the activities of the HR department in order to ensure they meet the organization's goals
  • Direct and control daily operations
  • Direct staff
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Motivate staff
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Review HR projects to assure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Train staff
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures
  • Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  • Manage training and development strategies
  • Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
  • Oversee development of communication strategies
  • Oversee the preparation of reports
  • Advise senior management
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints
  • Liaise with management, union officials and HR consultants
  • Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Oversee payroll administration
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Coaching
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury

Supervision: The Human Resources Manager will supervise 11-15 people.

Computer and Technology Knowledge: The successful candidate will have knowledge of MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The Human Resources Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a large caseload. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and have excellent attention to detail.

Personal Suitability: The Human Resources Manager will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and will have excellent flexibility and teamwork skills.
