The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing professional techniques in the field of human resources to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the entire staffing cycle process
  • Develop and update tools required for the staffing cycle
  • Develop recruitment and visibility strategies and assess their impact
  • Participate in visibility activities with partners
  • Participate in organizational workforce planning and resource definition for client groups
  • Integrate and welcome new staff
  • Compile statistics for management indicators
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with human resources departments and the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in administration, human resources, industrial relations, or another relevant discipline
  • Three years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of MSSS legislation, regulations, the Ministry Network, and programs
  • Knowledge of First Nation health/social service models, trends, and issues (an asset)
  • Knowledge of Cree culture, language, and social/health realities in Eeyou Istchee (an asset)
  • Communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
  • Excellent planning and decision-making skills
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Language

  • Fluent in English and French
  • Fluency in Cree (an asset)

Other

  • Willing to travel on a regular basis
