Mammography Technologist Position

CancerCare Manitoba is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional cancer care and blood disorder services. We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at the Winnipeg and Mobile Screening clinics.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography services to our clients in a safe and efficient manner. This includes performing mammography procedures, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mammography procedures using digital imaging equipment
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager - BreastCheck to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiological Technology education program
  • Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and Breast Imaging 2 CAMRT courses
  • Member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists - Manitoba (CAMRT-MB)
  • Compliant with Canadian Association of Radiology (CAR) continuing education requirements for Mammography Technologists
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in working in a Digital Imaging department using RIS, PACS, and EMR systems
  • Valid Manitoba Driver's License and current Driver's Abstract
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings, and willingness to travel to communities across Manitoba

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous mammography experience

Assets:

  • Knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs
  • Experience using Maxon BSP and PenRad
  • Ability to speak French
