Job Title: Senior Mammography Technologist

CancerCare Manitoba is a leading healthcare organization that provides clinical and academic services for cancer control and blood disorders. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mammography Technologist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography services to patients at our Winnipeg and Mobile Screening clinics. This includes performing mammography procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mammography procedures using digital imaging equipment
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and quality control measures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide patient-centered care
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiological Technology education program
  • Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and Breast Imaging 2 CAMRT courses
  • Member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists - Manitoba (CAMRT-MB)
  • Compliant with Canadian Association of Radiology (CAR) continuing education requirements for Mammography Technologists
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in working in a Digital Imaging department using RIS, PACS, and EMR systems
  • Valid Manitoba Driver's License and current Driver's Abstract
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings, and travel to communities across Manitoba
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous mammography experience
Assets:
  • Knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs
  • Experience using Maxon BSP and PenRad
  • Ability to speak French
