About the Role

CancerCare Manitoba is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care and treatment. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality mammography services to patients in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest mammography techniques, technologies, and best practices to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiological Technology education program.
  • Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and Breast Imaging 2 CAMRT courses.
  • A member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists - Manitoba (CAMRT-MB).
  • Compliant with Canadian Association of Radiology (CAR) continuing education requirements for Mammography Technologists.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in working in a Digital Imaging department using RIS, PACS, and EMR systems.
  • Valid Manitoba Driver's License and ability to travel to communities across Manitoba.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous mammography experience.
  • Knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs.
  • Experience using Maxon BSP and PenRad.
