Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager - BreastCheck, the incumbent will be responsible for providing and performing quality service to the clients of BreastCheck at the Winnipeg and Mobile Screening clinics, in an effective, efficient, and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality mammography services to clients, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and services.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of breast imaging and mammography techniques, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiological Technology education program.
  • Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and Breast Imaging 2 CAMRT courses.
  • A member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists - Manitoba (CAMRT-MB).
  • Compliant with Canadian Association of Radiology (CAR) continuing education requirements for Mammography Technologists.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in working in a Digital Imaging department using RIS, PACS, and EMR systems.
  • Must have a valid Manitoba Driver's License and be willing to travel to communities across Manitoba.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be in good physical health to meet the requirements of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous mammography experience.

Assets:

  • Knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs.
  • Experience using Maxon BSP and PenRad.
  • Ability to speak French.
