Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Mattawa River Resort. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms, common areas, and public spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities.
  • Housekeeping Operations: Pick up debris and empty trash containers, launder clothing and household linens.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, excellent written communication, values and ethics, patience, honesty.
