About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a key member of our logistics and supply chain team, you will be responsible for leading our warehouse operations and ensuring that we meet or exceed our customer key performance metrics and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead a team of warehouse associates to achieve operational excellence and meet customer expectations.
    • Develop and execute annual financial and operating plans to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Establish and sustain effective processes and procedures to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations.
    • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings.
  • Customer Focus
    • Develop and execute a customer-centric approach to ensure that customer needs are met and exceeded.
    • Build strong relationships with customers to drive business growth and loyalty.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage and control warehouse expenses to ensure profitability and meet budget targets.
    • Develop and execute financial plans to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Lead a culture of safety and ensure that all warehouse operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
    • Develop and execute safety plans to reduce accident and injury frequency.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings.
    • Develop and execute plans to drive business growth and profitability.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 4-6 years of related functional experience.
    • 3+ years of managerial or supervisory experience with supervising warehouse associates in distribution center management.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to connect and build rapport with associates and external customers at all levels.
    • Ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage through a problem and think and make decisions independently.
