About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at BAINS XPRESS INC. as a key member of our logistics department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Activities: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operation of logistics operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on logistics operations, including metrics on efficiency and productivity.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of logistics staff, including conducting performance reviews and co-ordinating work assignments.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, including requisitioning or ordering materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Operational Planning: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including establishing work schedules and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in logistics or a related field.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in inventory control software, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Windows.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a warehouse or transportation environment, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
