Medtronic is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to support the development and education of our clinical programs, manage inventory and equipment, and provide customer education on our defined products and technology. This role will also involve implementing policies and procedures, participating in clinical and operational decision-making, and training and educating investigators/customers on the proper use of our products and technology.

A Day in the Life

As a Clinical Specialist, you will conduct on-site education and consulting, support field personnel in providing excellent customer service, partner with sales colleagues to develop sales plans, and participate in conventions and meetings to increase product awareness. You will also work closely with Clinical Lead, Clinical Management, and Regional Sales team to provide customer case and sales support, identify and execute growth opportunities, and serve as a technical resource to support sales of our medical products and solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute clinical education programs to enhance user competencies
  • Cultivate close relationships with strategic business partners, including training centers and opinion leaders
  • Provide new employee training on products, technology, and materials
  • Assist in developing objectives and programs for marketing and selling our products
  • Provide nursing and/or medical expertise in the development, implementation, and case reports, journal articles, and clinical reports from clinicians
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate educational workshops and other programs, events, and activities
  • Lead efforts to place speakers on podiums at key conferences
  • Work with other departments to establish priorities for company direction, new product development, and customer satisfaction
  • Education reporting requirements (document all clinical support and education)
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate degree, or
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A Bachelor's degree and currently enrolled in a certificate program from a pacing school like ATI or PrepMD
Experience
  • Minimum 6 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with a High School Diploma or GED, or
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with an Associate degree, or;
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with a bachelor's degree, or;
  • Minimum 3 years of any prior professional experience, with a bachelor's degree and currently enrolled in a certificate program from a pacing school like ATI or PrepMD
Nice to Have
  • Background in Nursing Education or tech would be beneficial
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare-related Sales and/or Marketing experience
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare system (National, Provincial, and/or Regional level)
  • Medical device experience

  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
