Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for installing, measuring and marking surfaces, preparing and installing hardwood floors, and inspecting and repairing damaged floor coverings.
Responsibilities- Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and efficient installation processes.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as measure, cut and install carpeting on floors.
- Floor Installation: Prepare and install hardwood floors, following industry standards and best practices.
- Damaged Flooring Repair: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, restoring them to their original condition.
- Pre-Installation Preparation: Prepare floors for installations, removing existing floor coverings and contaminants as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in floor covering installation.
This is a physically demanding role that requires handling heavy loads. You must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
