About the Role

We are seeking an experienced finish carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and construction, with experience in building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • F it and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Survey building locations and levels
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Work Environment

As a finish carpenter at Newworld Cabinets Ltd, you can expect a physically demanding job with frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, overtime required, and tight deadlines.

What We Offer
