About the Role

This is a 12-month term opportunity where you will provide critical shipping documents as well as critical support to Rail fleet coordination and Marine Shipping movements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create shipping documents for all railcar movements
  • Create Marine Billing, following strict Marine billing processes and compliance
  • Validate and retain records - outbound and Inbound Shipping records compliant with TDG compliance and daily rail performance records
  • Collect and manipulate time-sensitive data, ensuring accuracy of reporting
  • Review and audit inbound and outbound shipping documents to ensure compliant documentation is retained
  • Engage with available resources to problem-solve non-compliant shipping documents and initial investigations
  • Conduct daily reviews and approvals of inbound & outbound rail shipping documents confirming compliance with TDG regulations in both Canada & the US
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary education in the field of Business Administration
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders including senior leaders
  • Transportation, operations, or logistics experience considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations an asset
