The Role

As a result of our robust growth we are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team of professionals in Saint John, New Brunswick. Reporting to the Director of Logistics you will arrange for the safe transport of temperature sensitive products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate the daily logistics needs to and from various plant locations in a timely mannerLiaise with Plants, Distribution facilities, Customers and Carriers the timely movement of products via various modes and equipment typeCoordinate the movement of Ocean, Rail and air freight with multiple vendors in a timely and cost-effective mannerCreate optimized transportation routes and schedules for both LTL and TL shipments utilizing Transportation Management softwareSchedule pick-up and delivery appointments as necessaryTrack and trace shipments daily; trouble-shoot problems with shipments as they ariseManage Drayage activities of vendor carriers at multiple plant facilitiesTrack carrier performance including on-time service and claims ratiosManage freight and accessorial costs with Carriers and Freight ForwardersGenerate all necessary documentation for International ShipmentsCoordinate sample testing and documentation with plant and Quality Control departments as required

Education / Experience:

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience required, logistics operations experience an asset.
