Job Overview:

As a Drywall Finisher at Nav Construction Ltd., you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our drywall installations. This includes applying successive coats of compound, sanding seams and joints, and installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Apply successive coats of compound to drywall surfaces
    • Sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
    • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
    • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
    • Cut and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications
    • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
    • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
    • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
    • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts to ensure accurate installation
    • Estimate costs and materials for drywall installations
Work Environment:

As a Drywall Finisher, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying work sites and locations. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Drywall Finisher at Nav Construction Ltd., you will require:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Experience an asset
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and for extended periods of time
  • Personal Qualities: Dependability, flexibility, and a client-focused approach
