Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our team at Nav Construction Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various locations, ensuring high-quality results and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install drywall sheets, measuring, cutting, and fitting them to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
  • Estimate costs and materials
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in various locations, including employer's/client's home, and will be required to relocate as needed. The work environment will be physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty environments, and with heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
