Job Title: Drywall Installer and Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our team at Nav Construction Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various locations, including residential and commercial settings. This is a permanent position with a guaranteed 30-40 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and finish drywall sheets, including measuring, cutting, and fitting them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Estimate costs and materials for drywall projects.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, including residential and commercial settings. The work environment may be dusty, and the candidate will be required to work at heights.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in drywall installation and finishing is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy loads (up to 23 kg or 50 lbs).
