Job Summary

Top Aces is a leading aerospace and defense company seeking a highly skilled Business Unit Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Services Business Unit, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the Business Unit budget and forecast, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to inform business decisions, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to establish and monitor key financial metrics, driving business strategic discussions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly and quarterly results.
  • Represent the Business Unit in financial discussions with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and governance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including operational teams and finance partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.
Requirements
  • Post-graduate education in accounting, CPA, CMA, or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role, with a strong background in financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial software, with experience in aviation ERP and Oracle EPM an asset.
