Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Cambridge Life Sciences team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for identifying and executing optimal sourcing solutions to drive growth and increase overall gross margin for our division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Procurement Team Lead to source outsourced sub-assembly solutions.
  • Process purchasing documentation, including Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Cancellation Forms, and non-conforming product, in accordance with ATS policies and procedures.
  • Leverage the Global Supply Chain Team's specialized knowledge in category management and VAVE to lower costs for cLS.
  • Develop outsourcing strategies and implement solutions to facilitate improved delivery, inventory management, cost optimization, and transaction reduction.
  • Support engineering standardization initiatives.
  • Execute the RFQ process, make-buy analysis, and supplier selection criteria.
  • Maintain ongoing supplier relationships and performance monitoring, identifying supplier performance risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Provide support and input throughout the design process, engaging preferred sub-contractors, providing direct input, and identifying and recommending optimal cost/schedule improvement options.
  • Award business, leading ongoing status reviews with contract manufacturers, managing pre-shipment approvals, managing revision requests, and managing non-conformances.
  • Resolve invoicing discrepancies and approve for payment.
Requirements
  • A post-secondary Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Assembly Operations.
  • Minimum 3 years related experience in Supply Chain Management (preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office software, including Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP) and PowerPoint (presentations).
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings is a requirement for this position.
  • Proven organizational and negotiation skills.
