American Iron and Metal is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Assistant Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of our company's mobile assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current trucks and trailers on the road, as well as experience in fleet maintenance, including Kenworth trucks. Key responsibilities include managing shift supervisors, mechanics, and administrative staff, communicating with schedulers to manage the flow and productivity of the shop, and ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest level of safety standards. The successful candidate will also be responsible for setting goals for safety, managing costs, and working towards continuous improvement on internal and external costs for asset maintenance. Additionally, they will conduct performance reviews, provide input on vehicle specifications, and maintain AIM maintenance plans. To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have a licensed 310T, a minimum of 3 years experience in a management or supervisor position, and strong multitasking and communication skills.
