Job Overview

This is a temporary position for students who are looking to gain valuable work experience and skills during their summer break. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to assist officers and inspectors with field activities, data collection, and research.

About the Job

You will be working in various locations across Ontario, assisting with tasks such as planning and organization, resource management, and data analysis. You may also be required to travel with staff on multi-day field trips to conduct checks and enforce safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist officers and inspectors with the planning and organization of field activities
  • Aid with resource management through data collection, data entry, and compliance reporting
  • Perform research, conduct analysis, and evaluate environmental information and data to produce reports

Requirements

  • Student status: enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution, or graduated within the past six months
  • Age: 15 years old minimum
  • Residency: resident of Ontario during the term of employment
  • Work status: legally entitled to work in Canada and have a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN)
