Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Executive Director, Nursing Strategic Initiatives / Clinical Lead for Nurse Patient Ratio Implementation to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing and healthcare, reporting directly to the Chief & VP, People, Nursing & Health Professions Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key partners to develop and execute strategic nursing initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate Nurse Patient Ratio implementation plans across nursing practice areas.
- Communicate progress, barriers, and risks to key partners and seek feedback for improvement.
- Engage with various departments to ensure successful implementation and compliance.
- Analyze and report on patient and nursing satisfaction metrics for quality improvement.
- Identify and propose solutions for implementation barriers and risks.
- Foster Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in workplace improvement actions.
- Focus on improving Indigenous Cultural Safety and Humility in care delivery.

- A competitive salary range of $150,805 - $226,208 depending on experience.

Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Nursing and fifteen (15) years experience in operational and nursing practice leadership or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives.
- Experience should include senior experience leading nursing practice in a unionized/collective agreement context and working collaboratively and constructively with union leadership.
Vaccination Requirement
As per the current Public Health Orders, all employees working for Providence Health Care must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
