About the Opportunity
The University of Toronto's Faculty of Arts and Science invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Black Political Thought. This appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, with an expected start date of July 1, 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses on the University of Toronto's downtown campus
- Conduct innovative and independent research at the highest international level
- Maintain an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program
- Contribute to the department's research and teaching profile
Requirements
- PhD degree in Political Science or a related discipline
- Clearly demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching
- Specialization in Black Political Thought, including political thought from Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Canada, the United States, Europe, or other parts of the world
- Ability to teach and conduct research in a diverse and inclusive environment
