Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. As a Full-Time member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to clients in their homes, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare and serve meals, and assist with light housekeeping.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.

Requirements

  • Completed a PSW Program or HCA/CCA certification that meets the appropriate standards.
  • Experience in Long Term Care or community home care setting with exposure to dementia and palliative care is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in care planning systems and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate positively with other staff, residents/patients and families.
  • Ability to provide care in accordance with application legislation, job routines, nursing care plans, ability to read and write English and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
