Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Full time

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is a leading manufacturer of protein products, with a mission to raise the good in food through better nutrition, safer food, and environmental sustainability.

We are seeking an Expert Demand Planner to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods Inc., responsible for developing and maintaining the finished goods sales forecast that is used by the operations and commercial team.

The Demand Planning team is responsible for generating and maintaining both lift and base forecasts in IBP on a 78-week rolling horizon. As an Expert Demand Planner, you will work closely with sales and other cross-functional partners to ensure the Supply Planning team has the best possible forecast information to drive inventory optimization.

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong business acumen and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with our commercial and operations teams as well as other internal and potentially external stakeholders.

This position requires resourcefulness, creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and expert data analysis. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the 18-month rolling sales forecast in IBP, using statistical modeling in IBP with other Excel-based tools and analytics to generate the baseline demand forecast.

You will also work closely with sales and other cross-functional partners leading the team to generate the lift forecast driven by commercial activity. Additionally, you will understand the product lifecycle of the portfolio, from new launch to rationalization, and forecast accordingly.

The estimated salary for this position is around $95,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellness benefits, defined contribution pension plan, learning and development opportunities, and more.

If you have a university degree or professional designation, and 3+ years of experience in demand planning roles with exposure to IBP, we encourage you to apply. Prior experience in other areas of supply chain planning or inventory management is preferred.

In return for your expertise, we offer a dynamic and inclusive work environment, with opportunities to learn and grow with us. We believe in building remarkable people who value an inclusive workplace, embrace all forms of diversity, and commit to including every voice in our collaborative environment.
