Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team in Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for selling commercial insurance policies, developing and maintaining a prospect list, and building strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell commercial insurance policies to new and existing customers
  • Develop and maintain a prospect list to identify new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships through regular site visits and communication
  • Stay up-to-date on market knowledge, products, and pricing issues to provide the best solutions for customers
  • Prepare proposals and arrange for account placement with insurance carriers
  • Gather and document relevant information to ensure customers receive the appropriate coverage and service
  • Maintain a high-quality book of business by adhering to underwriting rules and good business practices
  • Arrange payment terms for new business sales and collect payments in a timely manner
  • Support customers with the claims process
  • Travel within and outside of the region
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Strong communication and coaching abilities
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with pressure and deadlines
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • 5-7+ years of industry experience in sales and customer service
