**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computer Instructor to join our team at MASSP. As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching academic courses to students in grades 9-12.

About the Role

This is a temporary (HT) position, with a estimated salary of $40-$50 per hour, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a secondary education teaching certificate for academic classes and at least one year of experience teaching curriculum relating to the open position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach 10 – 20 hours per week
  • Develop pre/post tests and class objectives and syllabus
  • Plan, develop, and implement the class curriculum and weekly turn-in lesson plans
  • Complete midterm and final evaluations on each student
  • Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents
  • Demonstrate mature judgment and moral and ethical behavior
  • Show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences
  • Regularly communicate student progress
  • Punctuality and the ability to meet deadlines are essential functions of this job
  • Participate in orientation and staff meetings

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Secondary Education Teaching Certificate for academic classes preferred
  • One (1) year or more experience teaching curriculum relating to the open position preferred
  • Experience working with diverse populations, specifically low-income and potential first-generation college students preferred
  • Willingness and availability to participate in pre-planning meetings
  • Relevant technology skills and device for virtual and/or in-person instruction
