Job Title: Transportation Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team at Glidex Delivery and Janitorial Services.

Job Summary:

The Transportation Operations Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation fleet, coordinating with drivers and dispatchers to optimize routes and schedules, and maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance and driver performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit reports on transportation operations, including vehicle maintenance and driver performance.
  • Coordinate with drivers and dispatchers to optimize routes and schedules, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, including regular inspections and repairs.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve transportation operations, including reducing costs and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and train drivers and dispatchers to ensure they are meeting performance standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in transportation operations or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college or CEGEP certificate an asset.
Work Environment:

The Transportation Operations Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and a high level of responsibility. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Security and Safety:

The Transportation Operations Supervisor will be required to undergo a criminal record check and maintain a valid driver's license.

The primary language of work is English.
