About the Opportunity

The Cardiology Technologist performs noninvasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms, signal average electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing. The technologist prepares patients for ambulatory monitoring and stress testing, under the direct supervision of a cardiologist. Additionally, the technologist is responsible for precepting and mentoring new learners in the department.

Travel to other sites may be required.

About You

We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Grade 12 plus successful completion of a Cardiology Technology program or acceptable equivalent
  • Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists
  • In the absence of candidates who meet the above qualifications, consideration may be given to those who are currently enrolled in a Cardiology Technology program
  • Current BLS (HCP) certification
  • Recent clinical experience in an ECG Department and demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs, Holter Monitors, and Stress Testing
  • Strong sense of initiative and responsibility
  • Ability to adapt to flexible workload and stressful situations
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Long assignment part-time position; 45 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 12 months
  • Shift work may be required
Compensation and Incentives

$28.71 - $30.83 hourly
